WATU WOTE: A True Life Story Of How Kenyans Suffer Violent Extremism and Radicalization

In East Africa, Kenya is more affected by violent extremism and radicalization. Since one of the principal contributors to youth radicalization is unemployment, there must be a robust campaign to develop youth-focused programming.

The dangers of how blanket condemnation of a group based on the actions of a few perpetuates a cycle of violence, and how it runs counter to what ought to be the rule goal of their faith, spiritual enlightenment.

Watu Wote was nominated for Best Live Active Short Film at the 90th Academy Awards 2018. It's unfortunate that young people in Kenya are victims of various forms of crimes perpetrated by terrorist groups.

The Film is based on true life story, narrates who were attacked by Al-Shabaab terrorist.
