South Korea battles sweltering heat with government pledging all-out efforts to combat hot conditions

South Korea is battling with sweltering heat. The government of the South Korea have pledged all efforts to see that this disaster comes to an end. After what seemed like an endless back-and-forth, a highly-anticipated summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in Singapore on June 12 this year.

The economy of South Korea is the 4th largest in Asia and the 11th largest in the world. It is a mixed economy dominated by family-owned conglomerates called chaebols, however, the dominance of chaebol is unlikely and at risk to support the transformation of Korean economy for the future generations.South Korea is famous for its spectacular rise from one of the poorest countries in the world to a developedhigh-income country in just one generation. This economic miracle, commonly known as the Miracle on the Han River, brought South Korea to the ranks of elite countries in the OECD and the G-20. South Korea still remains one of the fastest growing developed countries in the world following the Great Recession. It is included in the group of Next Eleven countries that will dominate the global economy in the middle of the 21st century.

South Korea ain't the only country facing tragedy this week as the government of Greece also sets aside Three days of national mourning declared by Greece prime minister over the deadly wildfire which killed at least 74 people, “the country is going through an unspeakable tragedy,” he said in a televised address.
