Woman with ALS disease Paints over 200 works of Art

A young woman from China named Wang Yuting a Painter by profession shares her intriguing story of hope on *People's Daily,China* this lady was suffering from Amyothropic Laterial Sclerosis (ALS) an ailment also known as motor neurone disease (MND) and Lou Gehrig's disease is a specific disease that causes the death of neurons which control voluntary muscles. But Yuting was determined to be a painter, encouraged by her mother who helped with her disability. Doctors never believed she could live past 18 years of age, as predicted but today she's 39, an award winning painter.

The range of motion for her arms is limited to about 5cm. A painting that might take others a week to finish takes her 3-4 months, never discouraged by deformity she has painted over 200 works of art to date, some won international prizes.

There's no way I could've done all this without my mother's help, Thanks to her I have achieved so much.

She auctioned some of her art for a total of 376,000 Yuan ($56,000), and then donated all the money to charity.
