Kenyan Olympic Athlete attempts to reach World Record

Athlete lying tiredly on the ground
Kenyan Olympic athlete Eliud Kipchoge runs the fastest ever recorded marathon in two hours and 24 seconds.

His time does not count as a world record because of conditions surrounding the race, including peacemaking arrangements, however he narrowly missed out as a result to become the first person to run the 26.2 mile distance in under two hours.

Kipchoge was one of the three athletes attempting to run the two- hour marathon exactly after Roger Barrister, 63 years after who broke the four minute mile.
