What fascinates me about this waterfall is it's magnificent feet of approximately 1000 feet (300m), the water fall is continously rebuilt from deposits of calcium and sodium (travertine rock) from the water river, the small shaped cataracts are resulted from the activity of the thermal spring in the limestone caves, that makes the River Fall the only one of it's kind in the Caribbean.
Dunn's River Fall has a very fascinating history. It was the location of the legendary battle of " Las Chorreras". Which was fought between the English and Spanish in the year 1657, which the English won under the leadership of Charles Pryce.
